Premium cladding product made using Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) certified New Zealand plantation timber, thermally modified for superior durability and beauty

Environmental Product Declaration and Declare Red List Free certified, each square metre of 20mm thick Abodo Cladding stores 7.56+ kg of carbon.
A renewable alternative to Western Red Cedar, Each square metre of Abodo's solid timber is proven to store 7.56kg+ of carbon, more than twice the carbon emitted during the manufacturing process. This means carbon is essentially locked in the wood during its useful life.
The thermal modification process used in its production results in a stable timber with low moisture content - meaning it won’t warp, cup or bleed.
This also makes Abodo Cladding suitable for coating in dark colours, even in warm climates. Create clean lines using various profiles, including vertical shiplap and bevel back.
With a variety of coatings, finishes and profile options, Abodo is perfect for bespoke architectural aesthetics and applications.
As the thermal modification process is preservative and chemical free, it is also safe and effective for interior applications and joinery.
Abodo is manufactured with a patented process resulting in an engineered vertical grain orientation that reduces cracking and enables stable weathering long term.
Choose our Barnwood finish (brushed aged look) to customise your design. Barnwood adds additional texture which is excellent for coating longevity.
Colour variation may occur due to variation in the natural substrate. Colour may change/fade as part of the weathering process.

We loved the look of the aged weathering and the opportunity to use a similar product within the interior of the home, but with a mood change.

The resulting home provides a key example of how these two different Abodo finishes can create contrasting, yet cohesive aesthetics. As they emanate nature, the claddings work in well with the surrounding landscape, which in this case, is difficult to beat.

Choose our Rift finish (fine sawn face) to customise your design. Rift also adds additional texture which is excellent for coating longevity.

After three years of weathering, this show-stopping home is a magnificent showcase of Abodo’s Vulcan Vertical Grain Cladding

The colour has performed exceptionally well given its exposure to all the elements – located in harsh climate of Western Australia where conditions can be incredibly dry and hot.
