This project uses Avara™ Character with a Yakisugi finish to create a dark, textured façade that responds to light and weather. The charred and brushed surface gives each board a unique appearance, adding variation while maintaining a consistent overall tone.
The vertical layout reinforces the building form, with the depth of the finish creating subtle shadow and contrast.
Yakisugi is suited to projects where a darker façade is required without relying on applied coatings. Exposed face profiles are typically used to retain the character of the finish across the board.
We work with architects and contractors to deliver timber cladding solutions across a range of project types and design approaches.
