The profile determines how boards sit together, how shadow lines are formed and how the cladding reads across the building. It also influences fixing method and installation approach.
Profiles are available across Avara™ Clear, Avara™ Prime and Avara™ Character, depending on project requirements.
Open joint profiles create deliberate spacing between boards, allowing airflow and shadow lines to form across the façade. These systems are typically used in more contemporary designs and can be arranged vertically or horizontally.
Available in Avara™ Clear, Prime and Character (where applicable)
Bevel and shiplap profiles are designed for horizontal installation only. The overlapping board detail is intended to shed water effectively when laid horizontally, making them suitable for traditional cladding applications.
Available in Avara™ Clear, Prime and Character (where applicable)
Secret fixed profiles are designed to conceal fixings, creating a clean and uninterrupted surface. These profiles are often used in contemporary applications where a consistent, refined finish is required.
Available in Avara™ Clear, Prime and Character (where applicable)
Duo and Trinity are deeper section half lap profiles, typically in the 26–32 mm range, designed to create strong shadow lines across the façade. The deeper grooves give a slatted, contemporary appearance while retaining the practicality of a half lap system.
Profiles can be used consistently for a uniform appearance or combined to introduce variation across the façade. Groove positions can be adjusted or omitted to create a more random, less repetitive layout.
Available in Avara™ Clear, Prime and Character (where applicable)
Fusion is a predominantly secret fixed cladding profile designed to create a clean, uninterrupted façade. The system allows for variation in board widths and thicknesses, enabling either a consistent, uniform layout or a more staggered, random arrangement.
Wider or heavier sections may require additional face fixing depending on the application, while still maintaining an overall refined appearance.
Available in Avara™ Clear, Prime and Character (where applicable)
Profile selection influences both the visual outcome and how the cladding performs. Open profiles increase airflow, while closed profiles provide greater coverage. Fixing method and detailing should be considered alongside the chosen profile.
We can advise on suitable profiles based on your design, timber selection and installation requirements.
