Project Overview

This project uses Douglas Fir with a Yakisugi Dark Night finish across the external façade, creating a dark, textured surface that responds to changing light and weather conditions.

A section of the cladding continues internally, running through a fully glazed opening to form a feature wall. This transition maintains alignment across the threshold, allowing the material to read as a continuous surface in that area while the remainder of the building is expressed externally.

The charred and brushed finish provides depth and variation across the boards, giving the façade a consistent overall tone with subtle movement.
