What is Avara™ Clear

Avara™ Clear is a high visual grade within the Avara™ cladding system. Boards are selected for low knot content and consistent grain, resulting in a cleaner and more refined timber appearance.

Unlike heavily engineered products, Avara™ Clear retains the natural variation and texture of solid wood while offering improved dimensional stability through thermal modification.

Avara™ Clear works particularly well with profiling, texturing and Yakisugi finishes, where the clean grain of the timber remains visible through the surface finish.

Colour & Coatings

Avara™ Clear can be supplied untreated or factory finished depending on the intended appearance and maintenance approach. Left untreated, the timber will naturally weather and silver over time.

Factory coatings can introduce colour, slow weathering, or create a more controlled finish across the façade. Different coating systems and textures allow a range of visual outcomes while retaining the natural character of the timber.

Profiles

Avara™ Clear can be machined into a range of cladding profiles including classic overlap, shadow gap and slatted architectural formats.

Profile selection influences shadow lines, board rhythm and the overall reading of the façade.

On-site Workability

Avara™ Clear machines cleanly and can be cut, drilled and fixed using standard woodworking tools. The boards are straightforward to handle on site and allow clean alignment across larger façade areas.
